Hall of Fame Drag Racer Herb McCandless is coming to MOPARFEST 2010 to speak at a FREE seminar. Herb started his racing career in 1965, when he became involved with Chrysler’s race program. In 1968, racing became so much a part of his life, that when his then full-time job at a printing company got in the way of racing, he quit—the job. He raced Hemi cars from 1965 until 1974. During the last four years of his career, he drove for venerable team of Sox & Martin, driving their Pro Stock car. In 1974, he started McCandless Performance, and did a lot of the W2 small block test work for Chrysler. He ran McCandless Performance for 22 years and was one of Chrysler’s largest Direct Connection and Mopar Performance dealers. Herb is coming from North Carolina USA and will be giving a seminar and Q&A at Moparfest 2010. Come out to meet Herb and ask your racing or Mopar questions. You don’t want to miss him.

New for 2010

Moparfest is Canada’s largest all Mopar car show. This event also has a large parts for sale swap meet vendors for car and truck parts and indoor show as well as the outdoor show field. There are Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep AMC, Hudson vehicles. Come out and see the stock, performance, custom, survivor and unique automobiles from all over Canada and the United States.

Don’t for get to pre register your 1986 or older Mopar for a chance to win the giveaway truck. You can also buy tickets on the New Hamburg Optimist Club’s ticket car, a 2010 Dodge Challenger.

This auto festival is just 10 minutes west of Kitchener Waterloo in New Hamburg Ontario.

Held the 3 weekend in August every year. This year’s date is August 21 & 22, 2010.
